Flowers by the Bucket Frequently Asked Questions

HOW DO I ORDER BULK FLOWERS? Please fill out the form sent to you. Once you send this back to us and we confirm your order, we will send you an invoice and will require a $100 non-refundable deposit. This amount will be subtracted from the final cost of your flowers. When the payment is received, your event date will be reserved on our calendars. 

HOW DO I PAY FOR MY FLOWERS? You can pay for your flowers in cash, check, or on PayPal. Payments made using PayPal will incur a 5% processing fee. The final payment is due 30 days before the event.

HOW MANY STEMS COME IN A BUCKET? The number of stems may vary based on the time of the year and depend on the varieties that are in bloom at the time of your event. Each bucket will typically have 7 to 10 bunches, which have 10 flowers in them, or 70-100 stems total. 

HOW MANY ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE WITH ONE BUCKET? One bucket will make approximately 5-7 wide mouth mason jar arrangements or 30-50 bud vases. 

HOW MUCH DO BUCKETS COST? Our buckets start at $100. Most people find $600 to $1000 worth of flowers are a sufficient amount for an event. 

CAN I REQUEST SPECIFIC COLORS? Due to our small scale farm, our buckets are farmer’s choice and for mixed color only. Let us know your color palette and what colors you would like us to avoid and we guarantee that you will love our farm fresh flowers.

CAN I ORDER SPECIFIC FLOWERS?  If you have a favorite flower, we will do our best to accommodate your request. It is important to remember that our flowers are seasonal and will include what is in bloom at that particular time of the season. If available, some premium flowers will end up in your buckets. Specifically desired flowers should be ordered separately by the stem or bunch.

CAN I ORDER SMALLER QUANTITIES OF SPECIFIC FLOWERS? We do offer smaller quantities of specialty flowers that are priced per stem. Availability of our flowers will vary week to week throughout the season. Some examples and prices include dahlias ($2-$5) and specialty sunflowers ($1-$2.50). 

DO THE FLOWERS NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED? No, but they should be stored in a cool place out of direct sunlight, with proper amounts of water and away from pets. Also avoid placing the flowers in front of fans or AC units.

HOW LONG WILL MY FLOWERS LAST? It depends on the variety, but most flowers will last around 7 days if cared for properly.

WHEN CAN I PICK UP MY FLOWERS? For Saturday weddings, most people pick up their flowers onThursday morning. However with enough advanced notice, we are happy to accommodate your schedule. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to arrange your flowers.

WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY BULK FLOWERS? You can pick them up from our farm between 9am and 5 pm. Let us know what time you will be stopping by.  We are located 15 minutes outside of Boulder. 

DO YOU OFFER DELIVERY? Yes, we do! If driving our winding roads with your flowers seems intimidating, or you are low on time, we are happy to deliver your flowers. We will deliver them to the town of Boulder for a fee of $50. Delivery outside of Boulder will cost $100 plus an additional $2 per mile to locations over 30 miles from our farm. 

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WHEN I PICK UP MY FLOWERS? Please bring your final payment, clean buckets, and a good transportation plan. You can buy our buckets for $5 if you don’t have any. 

WHAT IF I RUN OUT OF FLOWERS WHILE ARRANGING?  We can most likely help you if this happens, but it is best to buy more flowers from the start if you are worried about this. You can always put your left over flowers in extra places around your event, or create fuller arrangements. Flower arrangements tend to take more flowers than you may realize. 

CAN YOU MAKE ME A CROWN OR BOUQUET EVEN IF I AM BUYING BY THE BUCKET? Sure! If you just want to make your table centerpieces but want us to make your bouquet for example, we are happy to talk more about what you may be looking for.
